Kratom, how safe is it?

If taken responsibly and by itself, Kratom is extremely safe. If overused, Kratom can become a habit, and because of this, it is best to use it occasionally, rather than daily. When you take Kratom for the first time, it is recommended that you do not use it more than once a week, preferably only once or twice a month. This is to ensure that taking Kratom does not become a habit.
Are there any health concerns?
If you consume Kratom responsibly, you are unlikely to experience any health problems. In Thailand, where some people consume large amounts of Kratom on a daily basis, those who depend on it have lost weight, have developed dark pigmentation of the face and, if they stop smoking abruptly, have experienced withdrawal symptoms, which may include; muscle aches, runny nose, diarrhea, muscle aches and jerking, irritability, and uncontrollable crying. As with almost any substance, some people may find that they have an allergic or other reaction to Kratom, even if they use it responsibly.
Can Kratom be taken with other substances?
It is recommended that Kratom not be mixed with stimulant-type substances or drugs such as; coffee, amphetamines, yohimbine, and any illegal drugs due to the risk of overstimulation or increased blood pressure.
It is also recommended that you do not take Kratom with large amounts of alcohol, benzodiazepines, opiates, or any other type of medication that affects the nervous system. This is because there is a possibility that the combination of these could cause over-sedation and possibly respiratory distress.
You should also not combine Kratom with any type of MAO inhibitors, as serious and even fatal reactions can occur when mixed with monoamine medications, and Kratom contains monoamine alkaloids.
There are some combinations that users have claimed are nice and safe. You can combine Kratom with regular black tea, and many have mixed it with tea made from red poppy flowers and tea made from blue lotus.
It has also been safely combined with small amounts of alcohol; however, kratom and large amounts of alcohol should be avoided.
Many people enjoy smoking tobacco or herbal smoking under the influence of Kratom, but in doing so, you must ensure that you do not fall asleep and drop burning materials.
Is Kratom legal?
Kratom is currently legal in most countries, including Europe and the United States, at the moment it is illegal in Malaysia, Burma, Australia and Thailand, and these countries have severe penalties if you are caught in possession of the herb. Laws often change, so before using Kratom, double-check to make sure it’s legal in your location.

However, some vendors advertise different grades of Kratom at different prices, although users have stated that there is little or no difference between them.
